The women’s refuge was totally re-designed, providing individual kitchens and bathrooms for each resident.
For this to be possible, extra space was needed and the parterre-floor was incorporated.
The roof was equipped with oval skylights visible from the outside in the evening. The old majestic entrance was reestablished and the entrance has been organized, so the house can be open for people from outside, but at the same time ensure that the women’s refuge is closed off. The open part of the building has been provided with better facilities, for example in terms of heating and acoustics.
